‘Our diversity makes us more complete’
When senior software architect Maurice Beelen joined Sioux Technologies in 1997, he quickly got to know all his colleagues – who were all Dutch-speaking at the time. When Turkish software designer Alara Yilmaz joined Maurice’s team in 2024, she was welcomed by a Belgian, a Hungarian, an Austrian, a Pakistani, two Germans, and three Dutch colleagues. All those different nationalities and generations make their team stronger, they believe. ‘Everyone can show the best of themselves.’ -

Rene van Wijk lookback
When René van Wijk said ‘yes’ about a year and a half ago to the question of whether he would become the new CEO of Sioux Technologies, it looked like he would be stepping onto a moving train. But since taking up the role in January 2025, the world that train is travelling through has been changing constantly. Still, he refuses to be rattled, as becomes clear when we look back on his first six months. ‘I’m not particularly prone to stress; I always sleep well. Edge-AI is the key to smart mobility
Edge-AI combines the power of artificial intelligence with the advantages of edge computing: local data processing in, for example, sensors, cameras, and IoT devices. Sioux Technologies is a specialist in the development and application of Edge AI , as demonstrated through its involvement in the innovation project Digital Infrastructure for Future-Proof Mobility (DITM) . InQuiq biomolecular research innovation
The inQuiQ® was launched in June 2024 by Delta Life Science. This compact device can measure the binding of molecules – with exceptional precision, in real time, and simultaneously for different molecules in multiple samples. This can significantly accelerate pharmaceutical research, and at lower cost. Sioux Technologies developed the entire system in just nine months and has already built ten units. -
Beholder
Sioux Technologies is one of four Brabant organisations playing a key role in the European security project BEHOLDER. This Horizon Europe project, with a total budget of €6.5 million, focuses on developing an innovative detection system that protects citizens against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRN-E) threats.
