Nazli Inci wins Sioux-GBO Young Talent Award
Speed Queen
The jury is charmed by how Inci has given shape to a social discussion: racism and discrimination are the main topics in this Black Lives Matter year (except for Corona). With her photo collage, Inci offers a critical work that makes one think: clothing that is accepted in one context (Formula 1) is less and less socially accepted in another (headscarves, veils in a religious context).
Young Talent Award
All designs were assessed on basis of four criteria: technological approach, socially critical, accessibility, and innovation. The finalists all scored high on at least three of the four criteria. The winners and finalists of recent years have all made their way into the international art & design circuit.
