Vehicle health tracking

The customer’s challenge To be able to access all vehicle data directly from within the car, Fleetlogic developed a new board computer that is capable of connecting to CAN bus systems in cars. Using this new board computer, Fleetlogic wants to expand on its existing services with vehicle health analysis. Sioux’s contribution Sioux is responsible for all of the software-related R&D development for Fleetlogic, like the board computers’ technology roadmap, the telematics platform and the mobile applications. Sioux wrote the board computer software and is responsible for the addition of storing and reporting CAN bus data to the telematics platform. Sioux also took care of the development of the mobile application that presents all vehicle and trip data to the end customer. For the project’s most critical components, Sioux used model-driven development. Result Sioux finalised the new board computer software, the development of the telematics platform additions and the mobile applications for Android and iOS, enabling end customers to very easily and reliably analyse the health of their vehicle(s). Submicron Analytical applications

The customer’s challenge Phenom-World wanted its own application store with leading imaging solutions for submicron scale applications. Sioux's contribution Sioux developed the Phenom pro Suite, a digital distribution platform containing software applications that interact with the Phenom and enable specific image-processing activities. Sioux developed both the mathematical algorithms and the software for these applications, enabling 3D reconstruction, fibre analysis, element identification, particle examination, automated image stitching, asbestos analysis, etc. Result With its wide array of applications, the Phenom Pro Suite brings Phenom-World customers direct answers from the miniature world, offering unmatched ease of use in imaging, processing and analysis. Technology Windows, C#, .NET, WPF, SOAP and Mathware technologies: image recognition, openCV, machine learning, convolutional neural networks, Python, Matlab, heuristics.

Smart Domoticasysteem

The customer’s challenge Niko wants to give end users of their existing ‘Niko Home Control’ system an easy way to change the settings of their home automation programme themselves, instead of having to call the company that installed it. They are in need of an application that runs virtually on all of the user’s devices like tablets, smartphones (iOS, Android), desktops/laptops (Windows, Mac) and can connect to the Niko Home Control system. Sioux's contribution Sioux developed a multi-platform application that offers equal functionality and look & feel on all four supported platforms. The applications communicate with the Niko hardware through Wi-Fi and allow the end user to view and edit the configurations of their lights, thermostats, automated actions, etc. The user interface was implemented in accordance with the specific Niko graphic design, including animations and many custom controls. Sioux managed to make over 65% of the code reusable for all platforms, which greatly increases maintainability and testability. Result The Niko customers are now in control of their own home with the new multi-platform application. End users can now manually change the settings of their Niko Home Control system.
