Table-top electron microscope

The customer’s challenge Phenom-World’s goal was to build the first personal table-top electron microscope. Sioux's contribution Sioux developed the complete software suite for the Phenom. This includes hardware control, image processing (Pro-Suite), user interface and multi-language support. Sioux also developed all electronic hardware (including high-voltage electronics and the wiring) and produced and tested all electronic boards. On top of that, Sioux created the mathematical algorithms and the remote diagnostics. Result Phenom-World is now a leading global manufacturer of desktop scanning electron microscopes and imaging solutions for submicron scale applications. Crystalline

The customer’s challenge More than 300 systems for accelerating crystallisation research have been successfully developed and installed in nearly every pharmaceutical research lab in the world. In the last few years, new applications have been developed in agrochemical, fine chemical, military and (bio) fuel research, food and personal care creating new markets focused on understanding the importance of crystallization research. Sioux's contribution Sioux maintains Technobis’ software and provides various services throughout the full software lifecycle, from technical specification to resolving of issues. Among other things, Sioux designed, implemented and tested the new GUI and made modifications to the communication layers, firmware and database. Sioux has also proposed several functional improvements over time that have been adopted by Technobis. Space experiment units

The customer’s challenge SpacePharma wants to operate a microfluidic laboratory in a CubeSat environment. The experiments need to operate fully automatically and results must be recorded and downloaded to Earth. And all should fit in a volume of 100x100x200 mm. Sioux's contribution Sioux developed the concept for the microfluidic laboratory. The realized systems contain an automatic liquid handling system and an integrated digital microscope. Result The first CubeSat system was launched in 2015. It contains a set of 4 experiments for pharmaceutical applications.
