The customer’s challenge VB-Airsuspension needs their new air suspension controller to be ISO26262 (functional safety)-ASIL C certified. This certification has a major impact on the development process, automation of processes and system architecture. The controller architecture needs to be prepared for active damping as well. Sioux’s contribution Sioux developed the entire controller (hardware and software) and took responsibility for getting the controller through the entire ASIL- C certification process, under considerable time pressure. Result The product and the used state of the art development and production process have been certified and approved by the TÜV, which opens the doors for VB-Airsuspension to any OEM in the automotive industry. The customer’s challenge Tribus develops a unique modular city bus. The electrical and software integration of mostly existing automotive components requires a carefully designed E/E architecture. This development process from requirements to acceptance needs to be strictly managed. Sioux’s contribution Sioux determined the functional requirements and supported the vehicle component selection. Sioux used its partnership with Continental and selected the KIBES multiplex system, the driver workplace with MultiViu Professional 12” display and the Sioux LIN to CAN Gateway. We implemented and systematically tested all software before integrating the vehicle components. In addition, Sioux configured all gateways, vehicle components and created the graphical HMI design and software for the dashboard. Result A state of the art and fully functioning electric city bus, with a modern, clean and ergonomic HMI that matches the high demanding driver, passenger and fleet operators standards.
